A Brazilian botanist who loves homegarden!! I have over 10 years of experience with vegetable and herb home gardens in containers and small spaces, such as apartments. I have also volunteered in community garden projects and helped several people start their own home gardens. In addition, I spent over two years in international botanical gardens in America and Austria.
Gardening is like therapy for me. I love plants in general, but container gardening is my passion. I am fascinated by how home-grown food can improve our mental and physical health. Working with the soil and plants has helped me a lot with stress – I feel more energized and happier after working in my garden. Gardening helps with mental health by reducing stress and anxiety.
Besides, gardening contributes to the environment through carbon sequestration, supports pollinators, and can reduce or eliminate the use of pesticides and agrochemicals that harm our health.
