Hello! My name is Vanessa, Brazilian, and I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and a Wellness Blogger. I’m also a scientist, food container gardener, yogi, and meditation practitioner with experience helping people improve their emotional and mental health.
In my blog, I share my journey to becoming a healthier and happier woman, tips to improve mental and emotional health, and healthy recipes to inspire you to be the best version of yourselves.
My Story
During my childhood and part of adulthood, I had depression and suffered from a lack of confidence and motivation for many years. My mental health was not well for many years. The problems started when I was very young within my family.
I grew up in a home with many discussions and fights between my parents. My mom was mentally and emotionally unstable. Due to these problems, our relationship was very complicated affecting my overall health. Therefore, I developed asthmatic bronchitis that persisted for many years until my twenties. Depression comes together with it. The condition worsened when my parents separated, and my dad left us with her. I felt alone and was embarrassed to discuss these problems with anyone. Once, I tried to talk to someone in school but could not find any emotional support.
The depression caused me deep sadness, lack of confidence, difficulties concentrating at school (my writing skills were inferior in school), and creating goals over the years. In addition, when I was 18, I was diagnosed with a benign tumor in one of my ovaries. Unfortunately, it had to be removed, causing me hormonal issues over time. At 19 years old, I was in my most profound sadness and anxiety and had constantly prayed not to wake up the next day.
Fortunately, all these challenges led me to seek a spiritual path on which I have healed myself and forgiven my past.
In 2001, I joined a spiritual group in which I learned several tools, such as healing energy, healthy food, home gardening, nature farming, and flower arrangement, to improve my mental health. Since then, my overall health has improved significantly, leading me to play some leadership roles. There, I have helped and taught many people to use these mindful tools to overcome emotional and mental distress, enhance their self-esteem, and improve their overall lifestyle. I am so grateful for that because I have found a purpose in life!
Later, looking for more enlightenment, I learned and included meditation, yoga, and cycling in my routine to enhance my overall health. It has been life-changing for me!!
Why did I become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach?
I am an eternal student who always seeks tools to grow personally and professionally. Since I started my spiritual journey, I have been helping many people to find a purpose, change their lifestyles, and eat healthy food.
As a holistic health coach, I can guide you to be the best version of yourself, according to your bio-individuality, and to create a joyful and dream life.
